The “Stadiums without Barriers” action occurred at the Lotto Ekstraklasa matches! The event, which is part of the “Week without Barriers” accompanying the Day of Combating Discrimination against People with Disabilities, met with great interest and due respect.
Within the framework of the “Week without Barriers” Ekstraklasa SA, the Polish Union of Footballers, the Federation of Disabled Supporters and Special Olympics Poland undertook to organize the action “Stadiums without Barriers”. This means that the matches of the 34th and 35th round of Lotto Ekstraklasa will be played under this motto.
As part of the campaign, banners were prepared to promote the slogan “Stadiums without Barriers”, which were presented at Ekstraklasa stadiums jointly by footballers and disabled supporters, also acting as a match escort.
Moreover, audio description for the visually impaired and blind people is organized in the stadiums, and the Ekstraklasa clubs in cooperation with local Disabled Supporter Clubs prepare attractions during the interval. The Ekstraklasa app also provides information about facilities for disabled fans in stadiums at all times, including access to lifts, wheelchair ramps and contact data to those responsible for these issues in clubs.
